as many of you know, scpl was shut down. i still think people should be able to use the layouts. that's why i got permission from tari to start this site. the layouts are all up and anyone who wants to can use them. i don't care if you subscribe to this site, just don't jock the layouts or redistribute them. some of the graphics were linked through scpl's photo uploader so, sadly, those layouts will not work properly. on some, only half work but you can still use them. the ones where none of the graphics show up, aren't listed with the rest of the layouts. scpl was one of the best sites out there. don't let it die just because tari's gone. steph, mary kate & christina all worked hard too. they are still somewhere out there on xanga. i don't know where they are but they deserve credit for their hard work too. use these layouts, remember them and remember their great legacy.

i need to say something, something about making layouts. at first it was fun, it was just a hobby. then when scpl started to become popular, i would find myself spending more and more time on the computer, trying to add new layouts and make people happy. then at one point i was spending a couple hours on the computer just trying to make neat graphics on photoshop or come up with new stylesheets. i guess i was just selfish because i enjoyed the fame and reputation, despite all the time i was wasting trying to impress people who i didn't even know and wouldn't ever meet.

i spent less time with my family. i became a recluse and would stay on the computer every night making layouts. i grew more and more distant with my mom and our relationship became strained. i wasn't concentrating on my schoolwork, or even music, which is my real talent. i tried to quit before, but i ended up coming back. this time i'm not coming back. i need to completely leave xanga so that the temptation to come back won't even be there. this is the only way.

it's really, really, hard to do this. not everyone would be willing to just leave 3,800 subscribers and countless supporters behind. but it's for the best. i need to spend more time with my family, my friends, and with God. i need to enjoy life one day at a time and realize what a treasure each day i have been given is, instead of squandering my teen years by running after foolish ambitions.

this is not goodbye. hopefully i'll be talking to you guys on AIM. but on xanga, i'm sorry, this is goodbye. i am not coming back. i won't be using xanga at all. you won't be able to catch me at my personal.
